Kaspersky exec: Industry anti-hacker shield needs most attention

MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- Russian industry is the most important sector for protection of information security and against potential hacker attacks since the number of attacks on the companies’ information systems and the risks of drone attacks on physical infrastructure rise, Anna Kulashova, managing director at Kaspersky in Russia and the CIS, said on Monday.

“Industry is one of the most appealing sectors from the point of view of attacks on the security system,” Kulashova told PRIME.

“We see a growing number of attacks on the systems of automated control of companies. Our cases show that there are no entirely closed contours, perpetrators try any backdoor to break in. We also see growth in attacks on industrial facilities not only in Russia but in the developed countries.”

Kaspersky also sees a rise in the number of incidents with drones that attack physical infrastructure. “They can be used for spying, for example,” the executive said.
